I used bobby pins to clamp the front and back together so the cup band would lay flat on crumb tray. After engraving, scrub label with a toothbrush and dawn dish soap only, rinse clean with water. Cup band can be left unfilled or filled with a paint pen. The font I used is chunky/textured which is why the engraving didn’t fill in perfect. If you are wanting a perfect/smooth finished product, a thinner font is recommended.
